My client, a specialist insurance provider with global recognition across the board such as one of the UK’s top employers in The Sunday Times, are looking for a Technical Lead to drive an exceptional team of engineers to ensure successful project delivery. There are plenty of greenfield projects using the very latest technology and this is a really exciting time to join the business.
Responsibilities:
- Drive & lead the engineering team to ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.
- Define technical requirements that align with business goals.
- Liaise with product owners and stakeholders to identify tasks and allocate efficiently.
- Partake in paired programming & drive best practices.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices through code reviews and feedback.
- Manage technical risks to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Implement initiatives to improve team efficiency, including automation and CI/CD.
About you:
- 5+ years of extensive experience in software development with proven experience of leadership and guiding teams
- Strong background of mentoring, superb communication skills & a clear focus on event-driven Back End systems.
- Extensive hands-on experience in software development and system architecture.
- Proficiency in developing clean, efficient, tested, and well-documented code.
- Proven leadership in managing software development teams and empowering them.
- Expertise in C# .NET and software design principles and patterns.
- A vast amount of experience in designing microservices and event-driven architectures (eg Azure functions).
- A good understanding of Front End frameworks (eg, Angular 2+).
- Proven experience with cloud-native solution development (preferably in Azure).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (ideally with Azure DevOps/yaml).
