A rapidly growing SAAS platform is looking for a Penetration Tester to join their growing cyber function. This business is on their journey to series C funding and looking for a penetration tester to support them in securing their estate. With clients in healthcare, complimentary therapy and veterinary sectors, this is a business you will be proud to work for.
Penetration Tester: The role
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Security Assessments: Evaluate computer systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities1.
- Develop and Execute Test Plans: Create detailed plans for penetration tests and execute them using various tools and techniques1.
- Report Findings: Document and present findings to stakeholders, providing recommendations for improving security2.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with developers, IT staff, and management to address identified vulnerabilities2.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest security trends, tools, and techniques2.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field3.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional), and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)3.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in penetration testing or a similar role within cybersecurity3.
- Skills: Proficiency in ethical hacking methods, tools, and frameworks; strong analytical and problem-solving skills4.
Skills and Tools:
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of network security, web application security, and wireless security2.
- Tools: Familiarity with tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Wireshark2.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team4.
