A leading global insurance company is seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their data transformation team on a contract basis. This role will focus on building robust, efficient data pipelines using Python and the Azure Data Engineering stack as the company transitions from a manual Power BI system. This is an exciting opportunity for a data engineering professional to make a significant impact in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines in Python, SQL and Azure.
- Transition data workflows from manual Power BI processes to automated, scalable solutions.
- Ensure data solutions are implemented quickly, accurately, and securely to meet project timelines.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to understand data needs and provide actionable insights.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in data engineering with a strong focus on Python and the Azure Data Engineering stack.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced industry such as insurance or finance is advantageous.
- Ability to work with precision under time constraints and deliver secure data solutions.
- Available to work on-site in London twice a week.
